Portfolio of Zinc and Copper Cladding

Gallery of projects delivered by ZincArt across Portugal - roofs, facades, drainage systems and architectural elements in zinc and copper.

View Projects

This is the gallery of projects delivered by ZincArt across Portugal - roofs, facades, drainage systems and architectural elements built in zinc and copper. Each project reflects the way we like to work: leading European materials, careful technique and attention to construction detail. Use the gallery below to see project types and finishes applied in real settings; if you spot work similar to what you have in mind, get in touch to talk about your case.

What you will find in this gallery

Our work splits into four major families, all represented in the portfolio:

Zinc and copper roofs

Roofs built in the standing-seam system (joint-debout) - the reference technique for zinc roofing, with vertical bays mechanically locked together. Includes camarinha (curved) roofs, mansard applications, dormers and interlocking-panel ("click") roofs. See the full service at zinc and copper roofing.

Zinc and copper facades

Ventilated facades, plain panels, shingles and full gable cladding in pre-weathered zinc (QUARTZ-ZINC, ANTHRA-ZINC) and rolled copper. Solutions chosen both for contemporary architecture and for discreet integration into established urban contexts. More information at zinc and copper facades.

Rainwater drainage and sheet-metalwork

Gutters, box gutters, downpipes, water boxes and rainwater outlets built in zinc or copper, with parts folded in our workshop to match the building. Also includes flashings, general flashing work and copings on walls and parapets. Details at zinc and copper drainage systems.

Decorative elements and trims

Chimneys, vent caps, vents, finials, domes, cornices, mouldings, drip edges and one-off pieces built to measure - usually on refurbishment work or signature projects. See decorative elements.

Where we have worked

ZincArt operates across mainland Portugal, with regular projects in Porto, Lisbon, Braga, Coimbra, Aveiro, Leiria and Viseu, plus locations around these centres. Every trip is planned from scratch - we do the site visit, measure on site and prepare the parts in the workshop before arriving. This logistics model lets us cut on-site time and meet tight deadlines.

Materials used

Every project shown in the gallery was built with materials from the three major European manufacturers we work with:

  • VMZINC - including the QUARTZ-ZINC, ANTHRA-ZINC, PIGMENTO and AZENGAR ranges.
  • elZinc - natural and pre-weathered rolled zinc for the Iberian market.
  • RHEINZINK - blue-grey and graphite pre-weathered finishes.

On refurbishment projects we also use rolled copper with natural evolution to a green patina. See the materials we use page for the technical detail of each range.
